Cardiac care has been a central part of Saint Anthony Medical Center since our very beginnings. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s our physicians were pioneers of open-heart surgery. Today we continue to lead the way in effective diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease.

Our newly designed Heart Institute supports our special style of cardiac care by bringing all of our outpatient cardiac programs and services together under one roof. From emergency intervention and critical care, to cardiac surgery and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation, Saint Anthony offers a comprehensive approach to cardiac care:

• A Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center for the evaluations of heart and blood vessel conditions.
• State-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization department and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab for invasive and interventional procedures.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Fitness programs.
• Clinics for heart failure and pacemaker patients.
• Both open-heart and microsurgery to surgically treat heart disease.
• The Cholesterol Center and Outpatient Nutrition Services
